BIEL Light + Building Buenos Aires continues to be the preferred stage for industry professionals to exchange trends and update their knowledge. The second day of the event was no exception, offering a full schedule of innovation and strategic content.

This time, the spotlight was on the next generation: more than 1,200 students visited the exhibition. Additionally, over 90 students from nine technical schools in Buenos Aires participated in the initiative “Future Professionals at BIEL Light + Building Buenos Aires,” organized by Messe Frankfurt Argentina, the Technical Education Department of the Buenos Aires City Ministry of Education, and CADIEEL.

They were welcomed by José Tamborenea, President of CADIEEL, along with Guillermo Freund and Irini Wentinck, members of the Chamber’s Executive Board, who encouraged them to pursue their professional careers within the industry.

As part of the academic program, during the CADIEEL Training Sessions, members of the Chamber’s Lighting Commission — Gustavo Alonso Arias and Eduardo Yasan — presented the Guide for the Acquisition of LED Lighting in Argentine Municipalities.

The specialists emphasized the importance of establishing a reference framework to optimize investments and ensure public safety.

In the same line, the Chamber also held the conference “Technical Regulations – A New Regulatory Approach to Electrical Safety,” led by Lic. Ignacio G. Boudjikanian from the National Directorate of Technical Regulations.

As part of the Exhibitor Conference Program, under the title “Designing and Manufacturing Light in Argentina,” nine Argentine brands specializing in lighting design and production — all participants of the LumiAr space — shared the distinctive features of their luminaires. They showcased practical applications of their products in residential, commercial, and corporate settings, highlighting the creativity and technical expertise of the local industry.

Throughout the day, leading companies in the sector exhibited their latest products and solutions to professionals from across the value chain. This year, BIEL Light + Building Buenos Aires is held simultaneously with ExpoFerretera 2025, further expanding networking and business opportunities for exhibitors and visitors alike.

The event’s third day, taking place this Friday, will continue to spotlight the most dynamic and innovative aspects of the industry.
