On September 11-14 in La Rural Trade Center, BIEL Light + Building Buenos Aires 2019 turns once again into the largest gathering of the electric, electronic and lighting sector. Design, innovation and energy join during four days and business and professional updating become the main players.
Less than a month ahead of its opening, the Biennial has a full schedule of activities aimed to its diverse audience. This year #BIELAcademy has as central subject axes the future of energy, trends in lighting, safety and electric installations and the premier of a new segment that is presented for the first time in the exhibition: elevators & escalators.
The future of energy and electric distribution networks
BIEL Light + Building Buenos Aires becomes, in each edition, a source of first-hand information for decision making. For this reason, this year, one of the main subjects of #BIELAcademy will be to know and discuss where XXI century energy markets are headed for.
The segment will have presentations in charge of the Argentine Electrotechnical Association (AEA), that will lecture on energy efficiency regulations and the impact of IoT (Internet of Things) technologies applied to efficiency and distributed solar energy.
Besides, the Instituto de Energía Eléctrica de la Universidad Nacional de San Juan and CONICET will present the advances of the “Red Inteligente Caucete” project, which consists in the implementation of a model smart electric network in this city of San Juan Province.
On the other hand, the Association of Electric Energy Distributors (AADERA) will discuss on the future of electric energy and the smart networks, with concrete application cases in Santa Fe province: the Cooperative of Armstrong, the electric buses of the urban passenger system and the electric highway that links the city of Rosario and the capital city of the province.
Meanwhile, the Consultant for Argentina of the Instituto Alemán Fraunhofer IEE, Dr. Alejandro Gesino, will give a lecture on the large scale integration of renewable energies and solutions for their technical and economic challenges. Gesino is a specialist in the subject and has worked for many years in the institute, which has a long history regarding the development of renewable energies in Europe.
The latest in lighting
The Lighting design will be another of the outstanding segments of #BIELAcademy and will be especially aimed to architects, interior designers and decorators.
The Argentine Association of Lighting (AADL) organizes two conferences: the first one on lighting design and its interaction with people and the second one on "Human Centric Lighting". The latter is based on the use of light to influence any aspect of human comfort, health and behavior through the production and modification of its intensity, the space and angle distribution, the spectrum content, among others.
On the other hand, the Biennial will also have an important international visit: the architect Paulina Villalobos, who will present “Noche Zero. The future of urban lighting”. It is an initiative to connect and share knowledge on night sky quality and give the first steps to protect the value of night natural darkness, incorporating urban light design as a part of the solution.
Training sessions on electric safety and installations
The electric safety and the current situation of professional installers will also have their space in #BIELAcademy.
In this sense, the Professional Council of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (COPIME) will offer lectures on ground connection systems to understand Resolution SRT 900/15.
The Argentine Chamber of Electric Material Distributors (CADIME), meanwhile, organizes the National Meeting of Distributors, where they will discuss on the value chain, the economic perspectives and the development of small and medium companies of the sector in the medium term. They will also cover subjects related to electric safety in products and installations.
The ElectroInstalador magazine, on its part, will develop the traditional Meeting of Installers, where they will analyze the situation of the associations of electrician installers of the country and subjects related to their registration.
The Argentine Chamber of Electronic, Electromechanical and Lighting Companies (CADIEEL) will also offer training on Electric Safety.
A new segment joins the Biennial
BIEL Light + Building Buenos Aires presents the incorporation of a new segment to its portfolio of products: Elevators & Escalators. For this reason, the Chamber of Elevators and Related Products will have an outstanding participation in the exhibition and will offer, within the framework of #BIELAcademy, two modules related to the subject: the new building code of the city of Buenos Aires and IRAM standards, with all that you need to know to project elevators and the latest sustainable technological advances in elevation media.
The aim is that, as from 2021, the companies related to the elevators and associated products sector join as exhibitors and add even more value to the group of products that gathers the Biennial.
Exhibitors' Conferences
On the other hand, the exhibiting companies VIMELEC, BPB MEDITERRANEA, VZH, SAMET, ENERGIAS Y REPUESTOS, CAT MIRON, GALVASA, COIDEA, INDUSTRIA BASICA, ESPA ELEC, and FONROCHE LIGHTING will also show their latest technologies and solutions through lectures and product presentations.
